We offer safe, confidential, short-term housing for survivors of domestic violence at our 13-room emergency shelter.

Our shelter is for individuals and families experiencing intimate partner abuse who are high risk of danger from their abuser and who need to escape into a safe confidential setting.

The shelter offers trauma-informed comprehensive advocacy and support focused on safety planning, stable housing, and acquiring the necessary resources so that individuals and families can live free of domestic violence. When there is an opening, an advocate will screen the survivor by phone. As openings happen at various times, we do not have a waitlist.

FAQs

What is the typical length of stay?

Clients may stay up to 90 days while they work with their advocate to find transitional or permanent housing. The average stay, however, is 60 days.

Are there private rooms? Are there communal spaces?

All rooms are private. Bathrooms, kitchen and living room are communal.

Is it pet friendly?

We ARE pet friendly. We have a cat/dog door leading outside to an enclosed cat/dog patio. We also have outside kennels for unleashed play. It is the responsibility of the client to care for pet while at shelter.

Once I'm at shelter, how will I meet with an advocate?

Our shelter advocates are onsite and personalize their care plans to meet each survivor’s unique needs and circumstances, guiding them from their current situation to their desired goals.
