We are thrilled to announce that we received OCV's Emergency and Transitional Pet Shelter and Housing Assistance Grant Program which will allow us to enhance our Pet Program at our Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter (renovate kennels, add a bathing station, provide vet care, pet supplies and pet deposits for families leaving shelter when needed). Did you know victims stay on average of two additional years with their abuser if they cannot take their pets with them when they leave? This is why we are committed to being a pet-friendly shelter. Plus, we love furry friends! .#PetFriendlyShelter #SupportSurvivors #loweringbarriers

#TuesdayTruths BIPOC women face high rates of violence in the home. 60% of our clients identify as BIPOC. We want to help lower those rates by addressing the root causes of Intimate Partner Violence in all of our communities and lower the barriers for those seeking services. #SupportSurvivors #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth

Tina Orwall and Sen. Karen Keiser), but he eagerly stepped up to sponsor at the Crimson level ($5000) for our Paint the Town Red! Gala. There are still a handful of tickets left if you want to join Trimble and DAWN in our efforts to support survivors. www.trimblemi.com
