Be inspired and engage with others at an event.
DAWN supporters make a remarkable difference for the domestic violence survivors we serve while helping to build a safer South King County by attending our two annual fundraising events. Returning Dignity Breakfast takes place each spring, and highlights inspiring stories of survivors. Our benefit auction and gala, An Evening of Promise, will be held October 5, 2019 bringing together loyal DAWN donors and new friends to support our outreach to survivors and our community education. Please learn more about both events and join us as a guest, a table captain or a sponsor.
2020 DAWN Returning Dignity Happy Hour Fundraising Event
April 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pmFREE
According to the King County’s website, the #1 cause of homeless in King County for women and children is domestic violence (DV). Moreover, for every 1 family in need of 100% confidential emergency DV shelter in King County, 57 are turned away! In 2019, DAWN provided over 9,240 safe, warm bed nights for women and their children in need of confidential shelter. DAWN also provided 28,642 services (duplicated) including answering 5,108 calls on our emergency crisis line in 2019. How can YOU help? Come join us on April 30th at 5:30pm for our Returning Dignity Happy Hour Fundraising Event at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, to learn more about how DAWN is working to support survivors, prevent violence in your community, and how you can help support the cause. We will sip wine and sample heavy appetizers while hearing harrowing stories of DV survivors who found support and comfort at DAWN. This is a free event, but there will be an ask for donations at the end of the event, if you are moved to support. Thank you for helping DAWN to continue to support, empower and shelter survivors of domestic abuse.
