Group of diverse community members with a woman trainerOur Domestic Violence Institute educates professionals and volunteers to work with survivors.

Dawn’s DV Institute offers trainings aimed at providing professionals, volunteers and community partners with the information they need to advocate for survivors of domestic violence. Guided by principles of trauma-informed advocacy, each session offers content and skills-based curriculum so we can all reduce violence in our community. Dawn’s DV Institute meets Washington state requirements for DV advocates’ continuing education.

Upcoming DV Institute

This 20-hour course provides foundational information about domestic violence, advocacy, and the life-saving services offered at DAWN. This training follows the WAC requirements for domestic violence professionals and volunteers. Spring training dates include:

April 8th from 8-5 pm

April 10th from 5:30-7:30 pm

April 12th from 5:30-7:30 pm

April 15th from 8-5 pm


Breakfast will be provided on the weekends and lunch will be a full hour but on your own. During evening sessions Dawn will provide a light dinner.

Are you a community service provider looking to complete 20-hours of domestic violence training? Please contact Kayla (link to email) to be added to our registration list. The cost of this training is $200.

An optional 30-hour track is available for community partners needing to gain training for employment. For more information please contact Kayla .
